Evidence-based physiotherapy, a whole-body systems approach, and laser therapy not commonly available elsewhere. We work alongside your GP — because collaboration gets better results.
Two AHPRA-registered physiotherapists, both trained in PBM laser therapy. Available Monday to Thursday, with additional Monday availability.
Physiotherapy found me before I chose it. I have spent most of my life physically active — sport, rugby, strength training, and time alongside some of the best athletes in New Zealand. I know what the body is capable of. I also know what it feels like when it stops working the way it should.
"I came to physiotherapy through injury. Two ACL ruptures and a long rehabilitation taught me more about the body than any textbook could."
Those years on the rehabilitation table sparked a genuine curiosity about how the body heals — and whether it could be done better. That curiosity led me to physiotherapy school in Auckland, and into a career now spanning fifteen years. I have worked with a wide range of patients, from everyday presentations to complex and chronic cases, and I bring the same honest, unhurried attention to each one.
I do not think of physiotherapy as fixing people. I think of it as creating the right conditions for the body to do what it is designed to do — recover, adapt, and move well. My job is to understand what is getting in the way of that, and work through it systematically with the patient.
I am reaching out to GP clinics because I believe good outcomes for patients come from practitioners working together. If you refer a patient to this clinic, you will hear what we found and what we are doing about it.
The body is one integrated system. When one area fails, the body compensates — and those compensations create abnormal force through structures, disrupt movement patterns, and make conditions hard to recover from. We identify those compensations, address the root cause, and retrain how the body moves.
Low-level laser therapy for inflammation reduction, pain management, and tissue repair. We use clinical-grade equipment — the RJ Physio Olympic Laser System and the Lipo Plus Multilase — with evidence for musculoskeletal conditions. Non-invasive, well-tolerated, and used alongside manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation. Not commonly offered by physiotherapy practices in this area.
A valid CDM plan referral from the GP is required. Joseph Green bulk bills all Medicare CDM patients as standard. Jeremy Whaikawa bulk bills at his discretion for eligible patients; otherwise the standard fee applies at the appointment, with the Medicare claim processed on the patient's behalf and the rebate generally credited to the patient's account within 24 hours.
Billed directly to DVA. No out-of-pocket cost to the patient. Eligibility varies by card type and condition being treated. Patients may contact DVA on 1800 555 254 prior to booking to confirm eligibility.
Billed directly to WorkCover Queensland. No out-of-pocket cost to the patient. Claim number required at the time of booking.
Billed directly to the participant's NDIS plan. Self-managed and plan-managed participants welcome. We coordinate with support coordinators to keep the process straightforward for all parties.
Private health insurance processed on the spot via HICAPS — patient pays the gap only. Cash, card, EFTPOS, and AMEX also accepted. Any consumables (e.g. therabands, taping materials) are charged separately where applicable.
We accept aged care patients. Please contact us directly to discuss the appropriate billing pathway for your patient's individual circumstances.
We welcome referrals for any patient who needs physiotherapy support. A standard referral or CDM plan is all that is needed.
A standard GP referral letter addressed to Jeremy Whaikawa or Joseph Green. Include the presenting condition and relevant history. For Medicare rebates, a valid CDM plan is required.
Patients can book at www.fitphysiotherapy.com.au or call 0405 868 711. Referral letters can be emailed to info@fitphysiotherapy.com.au or brought to the first appointment.
After the initial assessment we send a brief summary of findings and the management plan. A discharge report is sent when treatment concludes. More frequent updates available on request — indicate this when you refer.
If a presentation is outside our scope or requires specialist input, we refer appropriately and send a clear note back to your clinic. We do not hold patients we cannot serve.
